So we’re trying to game the system in Las Vegas by exploiting all that it has to offer in the way of free or cheap. This can start even before you reach Las Vegas.

The game begins before you get to Las Vegas:

The Gift:

One thing you should definitely consider is attending a timeshare presentation in Las Vegas in order to score a free gift. Typically, a presentation will last about 1.5 to 2 hours. You’ll have to endure some nastiness when you say no, but the gift is worth it.

Transportation:

There are free airport shuttles going to strip and downtown hotels. Check with your hotel to see if they have a free shuttle service. You can get free transportation via the trams from Bellagio to Park MGM, and from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. The monorail runs from the Sahara in the north to MGM Grand in the south which effectively covers the entire strip. Get tickets here.

Dayclubs and Day Passes:

Many hotels have regular pool parties for adults with DJs during the day. Other hotels may have a day pass option that you can purchase which gives you and your family access to their pool and other facilities during the day. During the colder months, some hotels offer inside options for partying during the day.
